hey, was doing my work halfway and i was reminded of this song. heard it in a CD store before and heard it on a live streaming christian radio website... and finally, heard it at the end of a movie. mega cool song. if you can get your hands on it, you'd know what i mean. another inspirational song to add to my list. i think i only have one so far... haha.. and that's "believe" by hillsongs. anyway, i don't have the mp3 for voice of truth. hope you'll be able to enjoy the song just by reading the meaningful lyrics.

hello hello! here's another picture of baby. =) this picture is a little harder to make out. you can see 5 toes if you look closely. you can even see the nose and eye sockets. heeeee



and finally got some pieces of maternity clothings. 3 pieces in fact - 3 bottoms. finally, some properly clothes to wear and some can go with my previous tops. i'm seriously running out of bottoms.

anyway, nothing much to update apart from this. i'm still sleepy and getting some pains in my abdomen which i read on websites is pretty normal. i think it's called round ligament pain. i'm expecting baby to grow double in size by my next visit... since the pain is so constant, comes and goes, and the cause of it is the growing uterus.

i'm gonna see my gynae again today. so exciting. can't wait to see my growing baby through the scan. and doctor is gonna go through the results of the detailed and expensive scan i did last monday.

plus today's half day leave is really a blessing too. hubby managed to get half a day off too! yay! a meeting that was scheduled today was suddenly postponed. hohoho.

so today's also gonna be shopping day. i already can't fit into most of my skirts...... and i used to think that skirts were a better investment than pants for work coz i could continue to wear them during pregnancy. how wrong i was. they're uncomfy now. tight. eeks!

and, brother is coming back tomoro! finally. i actually miss him ya know? guess distance makes the heart grow fonder. anyway, he already bought me some stuff for the baby. haha. so cute. from disneyland paris. looking forward to whet my gastronomic appetite when he returns coz we're always on the hunt for cheap and good food. hahaha. how's that for sparing a thought for your pocket.

{ Friday, July 11 }

you know what? i'm starting to wonder if my baby is nocturnal.

i'm always tired in the day and so i try to sleep earlier at night. but when i go to sleep, i wake up a few times through the night! yesterday was a fine example. i was so tired out at work and by the time i got home, i crashed into bed. time check: 9.30pm. i woke up at 2.50am, and then again at 5am, then again at 6am and couldn't get back to sleep after that. the result? another sleepy day. oh well, TGIF.

the fatigue is really getting to me. maybe it's not the baby being nocturnal but lethargy is just the norm for all preggers. oh sigh. i was warned on pregnancy websites, books and friends. and i'm starting to feel bad that i can't concentrate at work and when i get home i hardly have strength to do anything. been wanting to call some of my girls for a few weeks now but there's just no energy.....

zzz....

oh well... i'm ending my first trimester in a week. so happening. let's hope everything gets better then... =) looking forward.

am having another scan next friday with my doc where he'll also explain to me the results of monday's detailed scan, done by a nurse at the radiology department and which cost me almost $250. gee....

was on leave on 30th june and 1st july... well, as the title suggests, to celebrate my 2nd wedding anniversary.

it has been an amazing 2nd year. bore some storms together this year and am happy that our relationship and love is just growing stronger and stronger each day.

it's so exciting to be starting our 3rd year. and soon, with a new addition to the family.

so this will be the last year where we'll be celebrating our wedding anniversary with just the two of us. i think the next time this happens is gonna be 21 yrs later when our kids grow up and decide that they can have a life of their own. haha.

anyway, the celebration of our anniversary was really a blessing.

i started out taking only a day's leave on 30th june coz hubby told me he has a meeting he has to attend to on the 1st of july, our actual wedding day. and on the morning of the 30th, hubby suggested us going back to the hotel we got married in and stayed a night. and much to our delight, the room that we stayed in, with a supposed paranomic view of the south china sea, was on discount! sweet.... so without hesitation, i called my office to apply for another day's leave and off we went to rasa sentosa.

before we went, i had to go to the hospital to do another detailed scan of the baby to measure the length of its neck. strange right? i have no idea why that is necessary. anyway, it was so cool to see baby now. it's already 5cm plus and the nurse told me that my baby's pretty big for its age. hehe. praise the Lord! we heard its heart beat but it's still too young for us to tell the gender.

then off we went to sentosa. we checked in a little late... lazed around a little and then went for dinner. we decided not to have dinner within the hotel but at a cafe by the beach. there was this cafe that class 95 kept promoting a while ago, called cafe del mar, and we decided to settle for food there. guess what? much to our delight, again, there was a hsbc credit card promotion! 1-for-1 main course. sweet..... so we had a lot of food, and drinks and then walked back to the hotel.

we skipped the musical fountain show. had wanted to catch that only to find out it was $8 per entry. gosh. it used to be free. decided that it wouldn't be worth the money. on a monday night, i'd rather be spending that money on a $7.50 movie ticket. oh well...

1st of july was just breakfast and swimming by the pool and then we had to check out.

short but sweet retreat. a nice place to be back to and surprisingly, thankfully, no phone calls from the office or anyone else. totally undisturbed.

words cannot express how much hubby means to me and how deep the love we share. as we shared our meal and our lives, we can only turn back to God and give thanks for how He has provided for us, deepened our love for one another as we deepen our love for Him and then make a fresh commitment to Him again, to remember to be thankful.

received a devtional over the last few days in my email too. talks abt obstacles and difficulties. God didn't promise us a life of smooth sailing. but He did promise that He'd be with us every step of the way. expect difficulties, also expect God to be there.
