woh... this last week has been very tiring... had quite a few gatherings with people and it was really nice.

my uk pastor was in town last friday and the birmingham gang was together again! =) was really nice getting everyone together... though the process of doing so can get quite frustrating. anyway, we all had a really good time! and was glad that our pastor enjoyed the food so much. we went to the soup restaurant. =) there were about 10 of us and our pastor insisted on treating us. he spent about $170 and was telling us how cheap it was! hahaha. can you imagine? $170 to us is like a bomb but if you converted $170 to GBP, it's less than 60 pounds. that makes out to be GBP6 per person, which is considered very cheap in uk! 6 pounds can probably only get you a plate of roast duck rice in chinatown.

it was really nice to see them again. missed them a lot. too bad they could only stay for 2 days. the next day, they went to the zoo. hehe! i didn't go though... =( but i'm glad they enjoyed their stay here.

on saturday, was SY's birthday! hehe! another big gathering of people. thank God we found a parking lot quick when we reached suntec. you know the crazy crowd at suntec on weekends... and thank God we found a place to accommodate so many of us, allowed us to bring our own cake and provided us with the plates and cutlery. nice... though the food portions were very small... think most of the guys were still hungry after the meal. =P we went to delifrance bistro.

and then... on sunday afternoon, we had a touchkidz barnabas club lunch at suntec again... haha... went to the rice table. can't believe how popular the rice table is... good thing we made a reservation coz when we reached, there was a sign outside the restaurant saying "fully reserved". amazing man. had a really good meal and a good time getting to know people. =) and the meal was free! hehe =) and, was great to get everyone together to say goodbye to A, who'd be leaving us to australia for 2 months for work... great to be able to commit her to the Lord in prayer.

later on in the evening, went to tanglin club for my cell buddy's farewell... another round of buffet and the food was fantastic!! many thanks to our coordinator WL... she's another amazing person... always making sure that people are comfortable and well-fed. hehehe. really sad to be at a farewell dinner... sad to see SS go... admire her passion to serve and her commitment to people whom she loves... have been really blessed by her... she has been a really really sweet cell buddy...

4 meals and 3 goodbyes... can't describe the feeling... good food, great company, just wished there were no goodbyes. hope they all come back real soon...
